Fringe Review: Putz

Putz is a very funny and painfully honest character study of a nerdy young man with obsessive compulsive disorder whose best friend is a lesbian. Awkward with women and haunted by dark thoughts he struggles to find love, acceptance, God, and lose his virginity.

Andrew Bailey gives a wonderful performance balancing comedy and pathos. Bailey's character is wholly sympathetic and not pathetic. He channels all our self doubt and awkwardness when it comes to finding love, sex, and spirituality.

A most loveable putz.

5/5
